The Kewaunee County Promotions and Recreation Department has announced the opening of the Dana Farm Ice Skating Rink.
The outdoor rink, at N3787 Ransom Moore Lane in Kewaunee and adjacent to Winter Park, has lights and is free to use, but visitors must take their own skates. Visitors also have access to the property’s park shelter with public restrooms.
Skating is allowed seven days a week, 9 am – 8 pm, as long as the ice is in good condition and temperatures are below 32 degrees. The ice rink is unsupervised, so visitors must understand that skating is at their own risk.
“We’re glad to offer a second season of ice skating at the Dana Farm property,” said Dave Myers, director of the Kewaunee County Promotions and Recreation Department. “We had hundreds utilize the rink last season, and we’ve already had many inquiries on when the rink will be ready this season, so we know there’s interest.”
