Kewaunee Public Library Invites All to Join their Taste Testers Cookbook Club

The Kewaunee Public Library’s new Taste Testers Cookbook Club is open to community members who would like to explore different types of cuisine. The club is open to people ages 18 years old and older.

For each meeting the Taste Testers select a theme such as Mediterranean, cookies and slow cooking. In the future, Taste Testers is looking forward to tackling cuisines such as Indian, Eastern European, German, gluten-free meals and more. Members are expected to bring a dish to share, a copy of the recipe, and, of course, an appetite.

The purpose of this Taste Testers Cookbook Club is to create tasty food and promote connections in the community while exploring different cultures through the common language of food. It’s not about making the most perfect dishes, but rather about learning from each other and exploring new cultures.

The next meeting is April 17 and the theme is Asian fare. If that is too short notice, next month’s meeting is May 15 and the theme will be Italian. Cookbooks are available for pickup at the Kewaunee Public Library, but online and family recipes are also encouraged. Anyone is welcome to attend. For more information, visit their tab underneath the Programming section of kewauneepubliclibrary.org or call 920.388.5015 and ask for Cambrie.
