Kewaunee Seeking County Board Candidates

Kewaunee County residents who wish to make an impact in local government by running for a seat on the Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors have just 13 business days to get completed candidacy nomination papers turned in to the County Clerk’s office. Kewaunee County is seeking to fill 20 seats on its Board of Supervisors in the spring general election on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Thus far, there are 16 residents who have filed candidacy and registration papers, but only three candidates have completed and submitted nomination papers for the election. In order to run, Kewaunee County residents must be 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen and nomination papers must include a minimum of 20 valid signatures from residents within the candidate’s district. Kewaunee County Clerk Jamie Annoye encourages those interested in seeking re-election and those interested in running for a seat on the Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors to contact her office as soon as possible. The deadline to turn in completed nomination papers in is Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018. The Kewaunee County Clerk’s Office, located at 810 Lincoln St., Kewaunee, is open Monday-Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm.
