Kewaunee’s Winter Park Announces Hours, Admission Prices

It’s time to welcome skiers, snowboarders and snow tubers to the hills of Winter Park, N3751 Ransom Moore Lane, Kewaunee for the 2017-18 season.

The park will be open Dec. 29 from 11 am – 4 pm for skiing/snowboarding and from 11 am – 5 pm for snow tubing. After Dec. 29, the regular hours go into effect. Regular hours and admission is: skiing/snowboarding (full day admission) – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Sunday 11 am – 4 pm; $15 per person, $80 season, free for kids ages 5 and under with paid adult; snow tubing (two hours) – Saturday 10 am – 8 pm, Sunday 11 am – 5 pm; $8 per person or $35 for family of five; snowshoeing (full day) – Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, free admission.

It took approximately eight days with just the right weather conditions to make enough snow to groom the terrain that consists of five runs for skiing and snowboarding and a snow tubing hill that now has a Magic Carpet, a standing conveyor belt lift, which replaced the hill’s tow rope system.

“The tubing line is going to move much more efficiently and it’s going to be really neat to see how excited visitors are about riding the Magic Carpet,” said Dave Myers, Kewaunee County promotion and recreation director. “We should be able to accommodate approximately 150 snow tubers on the hill at any given time.”

Checks are not accepted at Winter Park. For updates on conditions, visitors can call the 24-hour hotline at 920.388.7199.
