Kids Invited to Join “Art on the Wild Side”

“Art on the Wild Side” – the summer visual and performing arts day camp for ages 5 to 12 – will offer free programs at Peg Egan Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Egg Harbor, Southern Door Community Auditorium and Perry Park in Algoma this summer.

Camp workshops focus on music and art using performances, demonstrations and other fun activities. Children are challenged while building friendships, embracing diverse experiences and learning new skills. Each day of the week, they will have the opportunity to focus on different activities, with some of Door and Kewaunee County’s finest visual and performing artists as facilitators.

The programs are: Paint Me A Song; Broadway Song Birds; Eating Live Foods; Qigong for Kids; Jewelry Making; The Beat and Beyond; Drama in a Bag; All That Jazz; Songwriting for Kids; Fiber Arts – Puppet Making; and Intention Dolls.

Program dates and times are as follows: Perry Park, Algoma, June 8 – 12, 9 – 11 am; Peg Egan PAC, Egg Harbor, June 15 – 19, 9 – 11 am; Southern Door Community Auditorium, Brussels, July 13 – 17 & July 20 – 24, 9 – 11 am.

Registration is for the full week. All classes are free, but space is limited and early registration is recommended. Art on the Wild Side is presented by Ministry Door County Medical Center. To register or for more information call 920.493.5979.
