Kiwanis iPads for Autism Project

Pictured above are the three families that received iPads in December. From left: The Sallinen family, Francis family and Nimmer family, with Kiwanis Club President Pete DeVaney.

In December the Kiwanis Club of Sturgeon Bay awarded iPads to three additional Sturgeon Bay families as part of the Kiwanis iPads for Autism project. The Kiwanis District started the project two years ago to help Wisconsin and Upper Michigan youth affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Kiwanis Club of Sturgeon Bay is committed to helping area youth through a number of projects, and raises funds for its projects through events, including the twice-annual whitefish fry coming in June. The club also plans to hold its second annual smelt fry in April. Anyone interested in learning more about Kiwanis can contact club President Pete DeVenay at 559.7976.
