Knock Magazine of Door County, an art and literary journal, is taking submissions for publication for its eighth issue. Founded by Nik Garvoille in 2007, the magazine strives to bring new artists and writers to the Door County cultural landscape. Works will be considered for publication in the following fields: Poetry, fiction, non-fiction, photography, visual arts, digital art, and graphic stories. Submissions will be taken via email until Sunday, June 20 at [email protected].

The second-annual Knock reading at Plum Bottom Pottery has been announced for Thursday, July 15 at 6 pm for an evening of art and literature. The new summer issues will be available, free, as always, to the public – the event will be catered and wine and other beverages will be served. One of the evening’s highlights will be featured writers of Knock reading from their own works, as well as a exhibition of featured artists. Chad Luberger, owner of Plum Bottom Pottery, also plans on debuting a new line of porcelain sculpture at the event.
