Kopischke Reads at Dickinson Series

Anya Kopischke is the featured poet for the September 9 Dickinson series event sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County (UUFDC) in Ephraim. Her participation has enlivened many other UUFDC events, and her poetry reading will highlight the new UU Religious Education curriculum that will be used this year titled “Exploring Our Values Through Poetry.”

Kopischke is a 9th grade honor student at Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek. She comes from a theatrical background and made her Peninsula Players Theatre debut in the current show, Wait Until Dark. Her oft-used theatrical talents will make the reading a delight. She is deeply inspired by Shakespeare’s poetic writing and story-telling.

The Dickinson Poetry Series provides a forum for UUFDC members and friends to read their original poems on the second Wednesday of each month at 7 PM. An open mic session follows each reading. The public, especially poetry writers and lovers, is welcome to this free series. The October 14 series will feature Tom Toerpe.

The UU Fellowship is located at 10341 Hwy. 42, Ephraim. For more information visit http://www.uufdc.org.
