Kress Launches Art Classes for Beginners

In January, the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor will launch a Thursday art-class series in its maker space. Aimed at beginners, the classes will help students to develop new techniques or hone their existing skills. All materials will be provided in the class fee, and proceeds will benefit the Kress Pavilion’s fundraising group, Friends of the Pavilion.

Liz Heller, who holds a degree in art education, will teach the classes and displays her work at the downtown Egg Harbor Plum Bottom Gallery location.

Heller will teach Landscape Painting on Jan. 9 and Feb. 6, Abstract Drawing and Painting on Jan. 16 and Feb. 13, and Still Life Drawing and Painting on Jan. 23 and Feb. 20. She will help students to accurately draw and paint their subjects using various techniques and materials.

All classes will run 1-3:30 pm. The cost of $30 per class includes all materials. Register at, or call 920.868.3334, ext. 3.
