Krista Detor Featured at Woodwalk Concert Series

Woodwalk is pleased to welcome back Krista Detor with storyteller Arbutis Cunningham to the Woodwalk Concert Series on Aug. 10.

With her acclaimed album, Mudshow, Detor was established as a gifted player on the world stage. Together with partner and producer David Weber, she’s released the follow-up album Cover Their Eyes.

Detor has reached #1 on the Euro-Americana chart and her music’s been featured at the Cannes Film Festival, on NPR, PBS and the BBC. Recently, she was chosen to take part in the Darwin Songhouse, with seven other songwriters in Shrewsbury, England. The songwriters wrote songs to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth in his hometown. The BBC covered this event, concert and CD release extensively.

Chocolate Paper Suites – Detor’s fourth solo album – is a series of three-song suites each connected by theme and/or imagery, and inspired by the works of Dylan Thomas and Darwin.

The show begins at 7 pm and Jeanne Kuhns will open. Call ahead to reserve tickets. Ice cream, soda and beer will be for sale.

Woodwalk Gallery is located at 6746 County G, one mile off Hwy 42, south of Egg Harbor. For more information call 920.868.2912 or visit http://www.jeannekuhns.net.
