Geologist environmentalist and author Roger Kuhns has had quite a life. His travels have taken him from the sands of the Sahara Desert to the diamond mines of northern Siberia. A gifted writer and musician, he has used his life experiences to craft monologues that are as culturally and scientifically enlightening as they are emotionally moving. Kuhns will perform his newest monologue, Working Underground, at Third Avenue Playhouse on Saturday, May 21 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, May 22 at 2 pm.
In Working Underground, Kuhns tells tales of life lived in the roller coaster world of internationalism and its often-comedic impact on communities, business, relationships, personalities, sustainability and natural resources. It’s a journey of survival of the most creative. Although the locations and cultures he explores may be outside the realm of the audiences’ experiences, he ultimately guides attendees to see their own struggles and triumphs mirrored in his stories.
Tickets for Working Underground are $16 for adults and $14 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased at the theatre box office at 239 N. Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, over the phone at 920.743.1760, or by visiting http://www.ThirdAvenuePlayhouse.com. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N. Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
