Lady of Good Help Offers Programs During Lent

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help invites pilgrims to observe the Lenten season’s traditions. The Stations of Cross will take place twice weekly, and Holy Week includes a blessing of the food baskets leading up to Easter Sunday on April 21.“Preparation for Jesus’ death and resurrection is at the heart of the Lenten season,” said Fr. John Broussard, the shrine’s rector. “In the Catholic church, we do this through penance, fasting or giving up something, and going through the Stations of the Cross. We invite whoever can attend our services throughout Lent to join us and remember the importance of this holy season.”

The shrine is located at 4047 Chapel Drive in Champion. More information and a Lenten programming schedule are available at ShrineOfOurLadyOfGoodHelp.com.
