Lake Michigan Speaker in Algoma April 27

Lake Michigan in Motion: Ecological Changes in the 21st Century is the title of the next event in the Friends of Crescent Beach Speaker Series. The speaker is Titus Seilheimer, Ph.D., fisheries specialist with the Wisconsin Sea Grant. The event is scheduled for 6 pm on April 27 at Algoma Farm Market Kitchen, 520 Parkway St. Lake Michigan is a constantly changing system, from the water levels to the food web. Human actions have changed the lake in many ways and continue to influence the condition of our beaches, water quality, and fisheries. Titus will discuss the connections between different parts of this complex system and provide an update on the changes that are occurring in the lake and some thoughts about its future.
