Dan Burke, Executive Director of the Door County Land Trust, will be the speaker for the second Thursday program, sponsored by the Miller Art Museum volunteers, on Sept. 13.
In anticipation of the upcoming exhibit, “This Land is Your Land,” on display Nov. 10 – Dec. 22, the museum is highlighting the Land Trust’s work and providing a glimpse of how a land trust actually works.
50 artists have responded to the exhibit invitation to create a painting from one of the many DCLT nature preserves. Each artist will choose the season and location to capture; the result will be a stunning array of Door County’s natural beauty that is preserved for future generations by the Land Trust.
This program is free and open to the public. Coffee and treats will be served before the program, 10 – 10:30 am.
This program will be held in the Friends’ Room, lower level of the Library, 107 S. 4th Avenue, in Sturgeon Bay.
