Landlord Training Workshop Offered

Lakeshore Community Action Program, Inc. is hosting a Lakeshore Landlord Training workshop on July 17 at their offices located at 702 State St., Manitowoc, from 8 am – 3:30 pm. This free training is offered to landlords in Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Kewaunee and Door County.

The training includes Dave Remiker from the Metro Drug Unit as well as representatives from the City of Manitowoc to discuss inspections and building codes, and recycling and trash policies. Other topics include smoke-free housing, landlord/tenant law, proper eviction procedures, and a discussion of how the Violence Against Women Act relates to landlord/tenant relationships. A locally sourced lunch provided by Taproot Farm and Kitchen will be available for a cost of $7.
