Last Chance for Arts Wisconsin Award Nominations

Arts Wisconsin seeks nominations for 2016 Arts in the Community Awards, presented in partnership with the League of Wisconsin Municipalities and made possible with funding from Heid Music, Redevelopment Resources and Vierbicher Associates.

The Arts in the Community Awards honor communities and civic leaders around the state for championing the arts as integral to economic, educational and community vitality. The deadline to submit nominations is Aug. 19.

The awards will be presented at the League’s Annual Conference on Oct. 20 in Stevens Point. The awardees will also participate in a conference panel discussion on the arts, creative economy, and creative placemaking in Wisconsin communities at the League conference.

“The Arts in the Community Awards are a wonderful way to celebrate the visionary leadership in and for the arts and creativity in Wisconsin’s communities,” says Arts Wisconsin Board President Christopher Naumann. “We’re proud to partner with the League of Municipalities to present these awards, and appreciative of the sponsors who make the awards possible.”
