Last Chance to See “Blue Collar Diaries”

This weekend is the last chance to see Blue Collar Diaries, a one-woman show written and performed by Michelle Meyers Berg, at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay.

Berg portrays dozens of unforgettable characters that drifted through her working class neighborhood in the ‘60s and ‘70s in Blue Collar Diaries. Their personal stories go far beyond the names that are stitched above their left breast pockets.

This original one-woman show features stories that will make audiences appreciate the countless people whose greatest assets were not tucked in a bank vault or a lavish home, but were instead poured into the modest streets and houses they lived in everyday.

A classically trained actress with a BFA from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and graduate work at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, Berg has appeared on various stages throughout the Twin Cities. Locally she has appeared in Door Shakespeare’s production of Pride and Prejudice.

Remaining performances of Blue Collar Diaries are Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 & 22, at 7:30 pm and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 pm.

Coming in December is the StageKids production of The Elves and the Shoemaker. This play is an original adaptation of the classic story by the Brothers Grimm
, adapted and directed by Ryan Patrick Shaw. The performance schedule is Dec. 5 & 6 at 7:30 pm and Dec. 6 & 7 at 2 pm. Ticket prices are $10 general admission and $5 for children ages 11 and under. For more information visit thirdavenueplayhouse.com.
