Last Weekend of Pen Player’s “Panic”

Joseph Goodrich’s stylish thriller Panic is on stage at Peninsula Players through Oct. 17. Winner of the Mystery Writers’ of America Edgar Award for Best Play, the play features the character Henry Lockwood, inspired by legendary film director, Alfred Hitchcock.

In the play, Lockwood, “the Sultan of Suspense,” finds himself embroiled in blackmail, betrayal, and murder while in Paris for the opening of his new film, Panic. He and his wife, Emma, are actually living through one of their screenplays when Henry is accused of a serious crime.

A post-show discussion with the cast and the playwright will take place Saturday, Oct. 16, and the last Saturday Seminar of the 2010 series will take place that afternoon from 2:30 – 4 pm.
