Lautenbach’s Hosts 13th Annual Summer Harvest Cherry Fest

Grab your family and friends and discover the fun Door County has to offer this summer. Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery & Market will host its 13th Annual Summer Harvest Cherry Fest July 22, 10 am – 5 pm.

The summer festival will include free winery tours, artisan booths, cherry brats and burgers along with tasty baked goods. Hop aboard a horse-drawn wagon ride throughout the scenic orchards or pick a pail of red, tart cherries. Enjoy complimentary wine and beer tasting along with many other products—featuring the popular Montmorency cherry.

Beginning at 11:30 am is a cherry donut eating contest followed by a cherry pie eating contest at 12:30 pm and finishing with one of the many highlights – Lautenbach’s annual cherry pit spit competition. The competition begins at 1:30 pm and is open to all ages. The fun continues with an inflatable bouncer and free face painting and balloons from 11 am – 4 pm and the popular band Bacchus Lotus performs from 1 to 5 pm. “This event is a lot of fun for all and has become an annual tradition. I look forward to it each year,” said Erin Lautenbach, event manager.
