Lautenbach’s of Door County Hosts 6th Annual Winter Wine and Cherry Fest

Lautenbach’s Orchard Country Winery & Market will host its 6th Annual Winter Wine and Cherry Fest on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 am – 5 pm.

The winter festival will include horse-drawn sleigh rides throughout the scenic orchards. Reservations for the horse-drawn sleigh rides are recommended and can be confirmed by contacting John Mayberry at 920.421.1152 or visiting http://www.mayberrycarriages.com.

Guests will also be able to participate in wine and product tasting – featuring the popular tart Montmorency cherry in celebration of National Cherry Month. The festival will also feature cherry brats, hot dogs, cherry pie, and an assortment of bakery goods.

One of the festivals highlights is the annual cherry pit spit competition, which will begin at 1:30 pm and is open to all ages. The fun will continue with the opportunity to paint a wine glass. A live performance by jazz musician Erin Krebs will take place from 1 – 4 pm. Free trolley rides around Fish Creek, sponsored by Orchard Country and local businesses, will be offered throughout the day.
