Lawrence Guitar Studio to Perform at Björklunden

Lawrence University’s Björklunden will host a concert Oct. 18 at 1:30 pm. This concert will feature solos and ensembles from the Lawrence Guitar Studio. The recital will focus on the 19th and 20th century including “La Catedral” by Agustín Barrios and “Variations on a Theme of Cabezón” by Manuel Ponce. The concert will close with works for guitar ensemble featuring the whole studio. This free concert is sponsored by the Boynton Society and will be held in the serene surroundings of Björklunden’s Vail Hall. Entrance to the Björklunden lodge is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, across from Anschutz Plumbing.
