Leadership Door County (LDC) is currently receiving final applications for the class of 2018-19, which begins Sept. 10, and planning for the upcoming leadership training sessions. LDC provides monthly full-day, action-packed education and informational visits to Door County businesses and organizations to bring together community members who have diverse viewpoints to become stronger leaders.
This year, LDC received funding from the Women’s Fund of Door County to provide tuition support to encourage Emerging Women Leaders in Door County. Female candidates from businesses, government, education and nonprofits who have exhibited a commitment to leadership, collaboration and problem-solving in the community were nominated for this support based on their demonstrated leadership abilities. Molly Brauer from Associated Bank and Milly Gonzales from HELP of Door County, Inc. were selected as the 2019 recipients of the Encouraging Emerging Women Leaders program for 2018-19.
At LDC, existing and potential leaders enhance personal and professional growth, strengthen leadership skills and increase an awareness of community issues to promote opportunities for service in the public and nonprofit sectors through experiential education.
