League of Women Voters Host Educational Forum April 4

The League of Women Voters of Greater Green Bay (LWVGGB) will host an education forum titled: “A Time for Action: A Panel Presentation on the State of Wisconsin Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding report.” The forum will offer the input and perspectives of three statewide education leaders:  Dr. Michelle Langenfeld, Green Bay Area Public Schools Superintendent and Blue Ribbon Commission member; Heather DuBois Bourenane, executive director of Wisconsin Public Education Network; Chris Thiel, Milwaukee Public Schools Legislative Policy Manager. The panel presentation will provide those in attendance with a greater understanding of school funding challenges and possible solutions, and an awareness of the importance of communicating with legislators about meeting the needs of our schools. The event will be held Thursday, April 4, 6:30 to 8 pm at the Brown County Central Public Library, Lower Level, 515 Pine Street – Green Bay.
