League of Women Voters Hosting Centennial Celebration

In 2020, the League of Women Voters (LWV) will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and the Door County league will join more than 700 other chapters to celebrate this milestone. On Feb. 14, the LWV of Door County will host a centennial celebration, 5-7:30 pm, at the Lodge at Leathem Smith in Sturgeon Bay. All are invited.

“Our efforts to support voting rights and to fight against voter suppression to ensure that our elections are fair, free and accessible have been extremely successful,” said Shirley Senarighi, chair of the local league, “primarily by educating and empowering voters through candidate forums, panel discussions and grassroots advocacy for priority issues.”
