LEAP 2020 Production Is ‘Human Condition’

To be human is to be riddled with imperfections such as indifference, anger, selfishness, greed and even hatred. This year’s LEAP production is Human Condition, which takes stock of the human condition and considers how we’re influenced toward compassion for others and ourselves.

LEAP 2020 goes to an international airport to find a cross-section of humanity and study their interactions to discover the ways in which human kindness is already operating successfully, and other ways in which it could be improved.

The original, student-advised script is solution based and incorporates the work of doctors, therapists, scientists, authors, poets and the students’ own experiences. It features a cast of middle and high school students from Gibraltar, Sevastopol, Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay, plus community guests.

A public performance will be held April 5, 2 pm, at the Southern Door Community Auditorium. Adult tickets are $15; students are admitted free but need a ticket. The program is recommended for ages 13 and older. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit southerndoorauditorium.org.
