Learn 2017 Gardening Trends at Next Door County Master Gardeners Lecture

Crossroads at Big Creek will host a screening of the film Chasing Ice on Jan. 6 at 2 pm. This film documents the acclaimed environmental photographer James Balog’s assignment for National Geographic, to travel to the Arctic to capture images to help tell the story of the Earth’s changing climate. This screening is free and open to the public. Meet in the lecture hall of the Collins Learning Center.

They are also hosting a Master Gardeners lecture on Jan. 31 at 7 pm about “What’s New for 2017.” Kori Zakowski of Sunnypoint Gardens will speak of the new varieties of annuals, perennials and shrubs coming onto the market in 2017. This will be her sixth appearance at the Master Gardeners’ educational series. Her presentations have been one of their most popular each year.
