Learn about Baileys Harbor Range Lights from Ed Miller

The Door County Historical Society will host – and Ed Miller will present – the yesteryear program “Baileys Harbor Range Lights” on Aug. 17, 1 pm, in the Collins Learning Center, 2041 Michigan St., at Sturgeon Bay’s Crossroads at Big Creek. There is no admission charge, but donations are appreciated.

Miller will discuss the history of the range lights and their keepers and share details about the progress of the ongoing restoration project. This year the range lights are celebrating their 150th anniversary. One of six similar range lights built on the western Great Lakes, they are the only pair still standing together.

The Heritage Village will be open for self-guided tours at 10 am and after the presentation until 3 pm. To learn more, contact the Door County Historical Society at 920.421.2332 or [email protected].
