Learn about Hydrology at The Ridges

Water is one of our most precious resources and wetlands play an important role with respect to water quality, filtering surface water runoff from higher dry land before it reaches open water. As spring approaches, the annual runoff often raises questions about the water quality of our local aquifers. Learn more about hydrology, the filtering capabilities of wetlands, and the water quality that so many species rely on as an integral part of their habitat on March 25 at 1 pm when Brian Forest presents “Hydrology and Water Quality of The Ridges Sanctuary.”

Forest holds a degree in Geology and spent 14 years with the Door County Soil and Water Conservation Department before assuming his current position as Land Manager with The Ridges.

Program fees are $10/adult for Ridges members, $13/adult for the general public and $5 for children under 18. Space for this program is limited and registration is required. Register online at RidgesSanctuary.org or call 920.839.2802.
