Learn about the Growth of Carlsville

Sarah Tanck Anschutz will share her story of growing up in Carlsville during the next Egg Harbor Historical Society program May 9, 2 pm.

Carlsville was once a hamlet with just one parking lot to serve patrons of the Carlsville Tavern, but other establishments in the area also served the local farm community and have grown in number since then. Anschutz will talk about growing up on her family’s farm; looking for a farm of her own after marrying her husband, Bill; and eventually buying the Carlsville Tavern, where she raised six daughters.
