Learn How to Put Up Your Harvest

The Door County Seed Library (DCSL) is offering a Putting Up Your Harvest class Aug. 17, 10 am – 12 pm, at the Sturgeon Bay Library. This is a free community event with no registration. 

DCSL planning-team members Renee Borkovetz and Cathy Edmundson will discuss how to safely preserve the fall bounty of fruits and vegetables, including canning and freezing tomatoes and other veggies, making jellies and jams, dehydrating produce, and even root cellaring. Participants may taste samples, take handouts and recipes, and join a Q&A session.
