Learn How to Run for Office with Door Collectivist

Door Collectivist invites members of the community to hear firsthand how to run for local, nonpartisan office. Former Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton will moderate a panel discussion of local nonpartisan elected officials. A Q&A with members from the audience follows the panel.

Locally and nationally, more underrepresented people are running for office. Of the recent surge in women getting on the ballot, Charlotte Baierl of Door Collectivist said, “We want to continue the momentum we’re seeing on a national level and offer community members guidance and support to run for non-partisan seats in Door County.”

Door Collectivist is hosting a free speaker and panel discussion at the Union Supper Pub, 23 W. Oak St., Sturgeon Bay, on Oct. 18, 6-8 pm. Pizza and non-alcoholic beverages have been generously donated. This event is accessible and inclusive to all members of the community. Parents are encouraged to bring children of all ages. Free-will donations are accepted. For more information, follow Door Collectivist on Facebook or email [email protected].
