Learn How to Start a Pollinator Garden

The Door County Seed Library will offer a Starting a Pollinator Garden class Oct. 26, 10-11 am, at the Sturgeon Bay Library. Don Gustafson, a board member of Wild Ones of Door Peninsula, will teach this free course

“One of the most important ways you can help pollinators is to include native plants that provide pollen, nectar and a habitat,” Gustafson said. “And you don’t need to have a huge pollinator garden – even a small backyard garden can make a difference.”

Gustafson will offer practical advice about how to save pollinator seeds, grow plants from seed and know which pollinator plants are best for beginners. He’ll also lead participants on a tour of the native gardens in front of the library.
