Learn to be Mindful at MDCMC

Barbara Wulf

Mindfulness programs continue at Ministry Door County Medical Center (MDCMC) from Oct. 7 – Nov. 25 with a new program in its roster.

“Stress Less. Find Balance. Enjoy Life.” is an eight-week program led by Barbara Wulf, who has facilitated the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at Ministry. Programs will be held at MDCMC from 6 – 7:30 pm.

This program introduces the principals and practices of the MBSR program and allows participants to enjoy a “taste” of what mindfulness is all about. “I have taught this program in many businesses in the Twin Cities and people find it to be a welcome break in their very busy lives. It’s informative, relaxing and even fun! Experienced meditators benefit as well!”

Mindfulness teaches moment-to-moment awareness that can help better manage everyday stresses at work and in life. This gentle practice helps one recognize habitual patterns and reactions to stress while learning to develop new ways of becoming more present and living a more meaningful, calm and productive life. Mindfulness can benefit health issues such as: stress, depression, fatigue, sleep disorders, high blood pressure, headaches, anxiety and GI distress.

The program costs $155 and includes a practice CD and handouts. To register, contact Wulf at [email protected] or 920.493.3370.
