Lein-Svencner Joins the Artists of the Flying Pig Gallery

Collage artist Laura Lein-Svencner creates her work from multiple elements, employing handmade paper, recycled paper, wood, and canvas. She sands, crinkles, manipulates, and fuses the textured pieces into a different state of being.

“I’m primarily a hands-on student of life, which has served me well since I tend to experiment more and try to think beyond the obvious,” says Lein-Svencner.

From Darien, Illinois, Lein-Svencner’s artistic studies have involved drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking, and collage. She has exhibited throughout the United States, as well as New Zealand and Mexico.
