Letter to the Editor: Bullies Beget Bullies

In light of the events of the past week, one has to wonder what is happening to us. What is apparent, with the election of Mr. Trump, bullies feel they have carte blanche because he has brought out the worst in us. With bounty hunters shooting it out and killing each other in Texas; a racist shouting obscenities at teenage girls, then attacking three men coming to their aide, killing two, wounding one; and, to top it off, a comedian’s tasteless posting of a headless Trump. What do we expect, with our president making fun of our own people, taunting world leaders, ignoring 195 countries about climate change and at times making no sense at all? It appears he is leading us down a path of no return. Are we as a nation going to sit back and watch as our country’s credibility is destroyed?
