DNR Holding Smallmouth Bass Meeting

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will host a public meeting to discuss the smallmouth bass fishery in waters surrounding Door County. This meeting will allow department staff an opportunity to engage stakeholders and present information on this outstanding fishery.

The meeting will be held from 6-9 pm, Oct. 18, in the lecture hall at Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay.

Informing stakeholders on current issues is an important component of this meeting. Gathering input from stakeholders will be a critical part of the public meeting as well. Participants will be engaged in discussion of their level of satisfaction with the current fishery and what current issues are important to them.

The public will also have an opportunity to comment in writing at the meeting, as well as online or by email through Nov. 30.
