Letter to the Editor: Heading in the Wrong Direction

Why did some Americans hire (vote for) a man to run one of the most important and difficult jobs in the world when he is totally disqualified, doesn’t know anything about government or the constitution or the rule of law, and is a pathological liar?

It is time to begin impeachment procedures against Donald Trump. He is irresponsible and reckless about our national security. The day after firing FBI Director Comey he hosts, in the White House, two Russian officials and does not allow any American reporter or photographer in the meeting. However, a Russian photographer, also working for the TASS News Agency, is allowed while Trump could reveal highly classified secret information to these men! That may be treason!

Trump feels he is above the law. The U.S. Constitution emoluments clause is being violated with his vast foreign business holdings and not releasing his tax returns. By firing the FBI Director when that man did not commit any crime and then admitting on national TV that Trump did not like the investigations into the Russian-Trump campaign connections proves obstruction of justice!

People have said North Korea has an unstable dictator running the country. It now appears the United States is heading in that same direction.

What will it take for Congress to stop this inept and ignorant man before a great crisis occurs?
