Letter to the Editor: An Idea for the Parks

If I make a campsite request, I pay for the site. Then I pay for what amounts to another fee. I asked the head guy, at the main entrance to Peninsula State Park. He said we’re in the business of providing campsites, not making reservations. Maybe they should be.

I think of all the roads, everything that has to be maintained. I think to rent the campsite was $13 and to make the reservation was $9. If the parks need more money, why don’t they get in the business of making reservations?
