Letter to the Editor: Midsummer’s Music Has World-Class Events

The opening program of Midsummer’s Music has been full of breathtaking playing, some rarely heard composers who didn’t get

their full due in their own day, and warm receptions (with delicious refreshments) for the audience and musicians following the concert. In a generous offer, patrons are invited to attend a “gratis” replaying of any program for which they’ve paid once.

The same repertoire is usually offered at different venues, times, and towns in the county. Many of us will happily do this, as it’s truly world-class music!
