Letter to the Editor: We Need Comprehensive, Fair Health Care Solution

The secretive, proposed GOP health care bill is shameful for America. It would leave about 50 million citizens without decent coverage and mean exorbitant premiums or copays for hundreds of others, many who through no fault of their own need surgery or accessible medical attention.

When many smaller and less fortunate countries have shown the multiple benefits of single payer programs surely we can be both efficient and professionally enlightened in adopting our country’s version. This is urgent. Or is it that some of our networks are thinking more about their bottom-line profit rather than the well-being of all our families?

May we continue to contribute to a comprehensive, fair solution.
