Letter to the Editor: The Politics of Water

I was interested in Representative Gallagher’s “Save the Bay” meeting and liked that he asked everyone to “check their politics at the door” in order to solve water quality issues in northeastern Wisconsin. Why didn’t he follow his own advice when he voted on the House Resolution which nullified the Stream Protection Act, thus allowing coal companies to pollute surface and groundwater? Protecting our precious clean waters requires all to check their politics at the door.
