Letter to the Editor: Save A Life

I have discovered another jewel of living in Door County. The Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Department offers a class in CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training each month. I took the course last week and feel it was one of most rewarding things I have done in a long time. I learned a new skill and gained confidence in my ability of how to handle a sudden heart attack victim until emergency personnel arrives. The course taught me how to perform CPR on an adult or child as well as the proper use of an AED. The instructions were topnotch, engaging, and easy to follow. The professional guidance of our local Sister Bay/Liberty Grove instructors was superb. I would like to thank them for their dedication to our Northern Door community. P.S. I am 75 years old and am ready to help with my new knowledge if needed. It is never too late to learn new skills.
