Letter to the Editor: Take A Closer Look

I am a Catholic; I didn’t vote for Trump and I strongly object to the statement made by an Egg Harbor writer in his letter of Aug. 25 which said that Catholics in overwhelming numbers voted into office a person who is unqualified and unfit to be our President. More accurate polls taken after the exit polls by nonpartisan groups such an analysis of American National Election Studies from Georgetown University’s Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate showed 37 percent of white catholic voters in favor of Clinton and 74 percent for Clinton by Hispanic voters. As to my Catholic friends if you voted for Trump and his party because you believe that they are pro-life you are wrong. They are pro-birth because they could care less about you after you enter this world as exhibited by their attitude toward tax benefits for the rich, funding education toward private schools and on health care. I suggest that the writer of the Aug. 25 letter get the facts before he again writes and that the Pulse does some investigating before they accept letters, especially those that include religious criticisms.
