Letter to the Editor: Transparency?

Now that we are beginning to see and hear about the healthcare bill that the Republicans have drafted “in secret” we now know why. Most of it is taking away from the poor, the disabled, the elderly and giving tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations. It appears that the Christians in Congress have lost their moral code. It seems they have forgotten about feeding the hungry, clothing and sheltering the poor and taking care of the least of us. No Holy Book I can think of says, “Give to the rich, take advantage of the poor and pillage the earth.” If this is Trump and Congress’s idea of transparency we are in real trouble.
