Letter to the Editor: It’s Wonderful to Live United in Door County

As new members of the Door County community, my family and I have felt so welcomed and cared for by those we have met. So, it came as no surprise to me, to experience the beautiful generosity of the Door County residents. On behalf of United Way of Door County, a sincere thank you for all who donated and/or volunteered in 2016, thereby empowering people to build better lives. Your kindness did not go unnoticed! We raised $33,137.26 more than the previous year, which means more children and adults will receive dental care for the first time, because of you. More seniors will smile and laugh with their peer companion, because of you. More families will receive counseling, those recently released from jail will complete job trainings, kids will receive school supplies and those who struggle to make end’s meet in Door County will breathe a collective sigh of relief for this support, all because of you! It feels really wonderful to Live United here in Door County.
