Letter to the Editor: A Call for Less Partisan Politics

With warm weather coming and increasing violence already in Minneapolis, Portland and elsewhere, will this be a summer of violence like last year? The conservatives and Republicans I associate with all believe that militant members of both Democratic- and Republican-leaning groups must stop the violence. We believe government disagreements and protests should proceed peacefully and in accordance with the law. It’s time for politics to be less partisan and less strident. Integrity and character count, and we must all work toward solving policy differences with humility and gentleness.
