Letter to the Editor: Abter Anderson the Choice for Treasurer

I would just like to say a little word about Jan Arbter Anderson, who is running for Door County treasurer. I have known Jan for many years because her older brother was a good high school friend, and I have known her since those crazy high school days. 

What I know is that Jan worked for five and a half years as the deputy county treasurer and is someone who pays attention to details. She’s a U.S. Army veteran and an American Legion Post 372 member. Jan grew up in Door County and is a fifth-generation native. She’s worked for Door County for 18 years. 

But, more importantly, Jan understands the importance of keeping records straight, keeping our tax rate correct, working with us and being transparent in her dealings with the public.

When it comes to managing Door County’s money and being straightforward, Jan is the manager we want. I love her slogan, “You can count on me!” She means what she says. I am supporting Jan Arbter Anderson for Door County treasurer, and I ask you to do the same.
