Letter to the Editor: Boys & Girls Club Celebrity Golf Outing Was Big Success

The Boys & Girls Club of Door County would like to thank all those involved in making our 10th Annual Celebrity golf outing a resounding success. The outing was recently held at the prestigious Horseshoe Bay Golf Club in Egg Harbor.

We have many to thank for the outcome of this event, which raised funds for the youth of Door County, and all these funds stay in Door County to help support the Club which now serves approximately 500 youth every year.

The outing would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our Presenting sponsor, Jim Olson Motors, our Eagle sponsor, T. A special “pat on the back” goes to Nick Freimuth for conducting an outstanding live auction, all who donated items for the live auction and the generous bidders who contributed to the success of the outing.

Our sincere appreciation to all who contributed to the “Ask program” which allows numerous children to come to the Boys & Girls Club this summer who may not have had the opportunity without these generous donors.

And then, there is our golf outing committee and the volunteers who help plan, work, organize and set up for this great event.
