I have been enjoying the Pulse for the past six years. We come up to Door County almost every weekend during the summer and fall. Your paper is always fun to read and I cannot wait to get my copy on Friday morning. You cover so many items related to history, local happenings, perspectives, community, sports, nature, and all of the various sections you provide for the readers. I read them all! I especially enjoyed the recent “Hedwig Peil: Mail Order Bride” feature! It told of how life was around 140 years ago with the social mores at the time which Hedwig seemed to overcome so well! Last week’s history story of “Heroes of the Storm” about men who would help those in distress at sea was so informative. It is hard to believe how very different life was in Door County only 130 to 140 years ago! It gives all of us such a good perspective on our own lives. The photographs are wonderful and show the county in all of its splendor, which is why my wife and I come up here in the first place.
So, congratulations on your paper as you celebrate 20 years here in Door County. I hope that you publish for many more years. You have many appreciative readers and my wife and I are among them!
