Letter to the Editor: Consider a Cantilever Boardwalk

There is no need to try an experimental tower that looks bad.

In Jasper, Alberta, Canada, they have a wonderful setup for a lookout .

We don’t need something this extravagant, but we should open planners’ eyes to existing designs done elsewhere.

I think there should be a cantilever boardwalk that allows people to see the escarpment from the side. As the old tower was designed, the view of the escarpment below, was elusive. I think a cantilever type of a pier, a few hundreds yards to the side would allow visitors a vista which would be spectacular. It would also be level with the road.
